We have executed a number of Geospatial projects in South Sudan since 2018
1. Training of Telesom engineers in Hargeisa, Somaliland
In December 2024, we were contracted by Telesom company based in Hargeisa, to offer Advanced QGIS training to their telecomms engineers.
2. GPR Subsurface utility scanning in Garowe, Puntland
The GPR sub-surface utility scanning including data processing and training of Descon staff was carried out in June to October 2024.
3. Control, topographical survey an GPR in Mogadishu city
On November 2024, Descon Ltd., a company based in Mogadishu, engaged Orbital in executing the GPR assignment in Mogadishu city. Read more ++
4. Topographical survey of Drainage systems in Mogadishu
This project was executed during the months of June and July 2024 in conjunction with UNICEF’s WASH engineers and GIS specialists.
5. Training of 25 Engineers on Operation of Total station
The training assignment was executed in November 2018. A total of 20 engineers from NIS foundation and 5 from Municipal Council of Mogadishu were trained.
